BEGINNERS' TASTER SESSIONS

Spinning can seem like a daunting and potentially expensive craft to start. This taster workshops will give you a flavour of what spinning on a drop spindle involves at a very reasonable price. All materials and a drop spindle are included in the kit or the workshop is available alone if you have a spindle and fibre already

 

The workshop is a series of online videos you can watch whenever you like and an accompanying live zoom Q and A

The videos include:

- How to set up a spindle

- How drafting and twisting fibre works 

- Properties of sheep’s wool

This is equivalent to the first week of the Secrets of Spindle Spinning 5 week course.

No is experience necessary and all materials provided. Please be aware that all though all materials will be washed, wool can irritate some skin conditions. Please get in contact if you have any questions.
